Doom: The Dark Ages merupakan prekuel dari Doom dan Doom: Eternal. Game ini berlatar di abad pertengahan, dan akan menceritakan awal dari kemunculan sosok Slayer. Gameplay dari Doom: The Dark Ages masih sama dengan game Doom lainnya, yaitu first person singleplayer.
