Penghargaan awal tahun untuk industri game DICE Award 2016 telah selesai. Event yang diselenggarakan pada tanggal 18 Februari 2016 kemarin menghadirkan berbagai ragam nominasi seperti Game of the Year, Family Game of the Year, DICE Sprite Award dan juga Lifetime Achievement Award. Acara lain yang dilangsungkan dalam DICE Award 2016 ini adalah pelantikan Hideo Kojima sebagai anggota kehormatan Hall of Fame. Dalam sesi diskusi bersama dengan rekan sekaligus teman baiknya Guillermo del Torro, Kojima membeberkan sedikit mengenai rencananya kedepan. Ia berniat untuk menciptakan suatu terobosan terbaru dalam industri game yaitu menciptakan satu universe tersendiri. “Proyek saya bersama dengan Sony akan sangat besar karena saya ingin game ini memiliki pengaruh ke film, anime atau komik” Ucap Kojima. Del Torro yang ikut mendampingi sesi wawancaranya juga mengatakan siap untuk berkolaborasi kembali dengan Kojima. “Apa yang ia mau akan saya lakukan” Ucap Del Torro.
Sepertinya tahun 2016 ini akan menjadi tahun yang paling ditunggu-tunggu dalam industri game yaitu melihat hasil karya dari Hideo Kojima yang terbaru.
