Xbox Game Studios telah mengumumkan tanggal rilis untuk Age of Mythology: Retold. Game ini akan tersedia pada tanggal 4 September 2024 di platform di konsol Xbox dan PC. Age of Mythology: Retold juga akan tersedia day one lewat layanan Game Pass.

Age of Mythology: Retold akan menggabungkan elemen yang merupakan ciri khas dari game ini dengan fitur-fitur game real time strategi zaman sekarang. Pemain bisa memilih untuk menyembah dewa-dewi dari Yunani, Mesir, Norse, dan Atlantis. Beragam monster mitologi seperti Cyclops dan Cerberus juga akan muncul di game.
Age of Mythology akan mengalami peningkatan dari segi grafis dan visual. Age of Mythology: Retold juga akan memiliki multiplayer co-op, Arena of the Gods. Mode ini juga bisa dimainkan singleplayer.
