Capcom pada San Diego Comic-Con 2018 telah mengumumkan adanya collector edition dari game Resident Evil 2 Remake untuk PS4. Bundle ini akan dijual dengan harga yang bisa dibilang cukup mahal, yaitu $200 atau sekitar Rp2.898.200.

Tidak hanya itu, producer game Resident Evil 2 Remake, Yoshiaki Hirabayashi, juga berbicara mengenai beberapa hal penting. Yoshiaki akhirnya mengungkap alasan kenapa wajah Leon dalam game tersebut terlihat sangat berbeda dengan Leon yang sekarang. Menurut Yoshiaki, Leon dalam game Resident Evil 2 Remake adalah seorang rookie yang belum berpengalaman. Ia akan mengalami hari pertama kerja yang tidak bisa ditandingi oleh siapapun di dunia. Selain Leon, Yoshiaku juga mengungkap penampilan Claire Redfield lengkap dengan motornya.
Yoshiaki juga memuji timnya karena berhasil menyulap kota Racoon City yang menjadi latar game tersebut. Digarap dengan RE Engine, pemain tidak hanya takut dengan para zombie yang jauh lebih menyeramkan dibanding game originalnya, tapi juga pada kegelapan di setiap lorong dan persimpangan.
Rasanya semakin tidak sabar memainkan game ini. Resident Evil 2 Remake akan dirilis pada tanggal 25 Januari 2019 di PS4, Xbox One, dan PC.
